Path's Recovery Journey

Hello! It has been an insane few weeks. Unfortunately we had some insurance issues which prevented Path from being admitted to MFB after her surgery. We have to travel every few days to MFB to follow up which is frustrating. The good news is Path is doing amazing. She is visibly improving and much more comfortable. Although the next few weeks will be tricky we sort out the follow ups with MFB - as seen by the slightly blurry pic - she is much happier. Steve made her laugh and smile. Her joy is the reason we continue to fight the good fight and keep moving forward. Here’s to getting through the next few crazy weeks. -Elizabeth

Path is doing well and is still recovering in Ann Arbor. We’re waiting for the transfer to MFB to be processed, but we don’t have the transfer date yet. Path is more comfortable and alert today which is great to see. ♥️🌈♥️ - Elizabeth

Hello Folks, Path is an absolute champion and made it through surgery well. She is settled into her room and is focusing on recovery over the next few days. We are super grateful to our family and friends who have totally stepped up and helped out with not only making sure we have help with Path but also James and our animals. We are happy to have this part behind us and are hopeful for her continued recovery. ♥️🌈♥️ - Elizabeth 

Hello Friends!  I hope you all are doing well! We are excited to let you all know that we had a surgical consultation appointment this week at Mott’s Children Hospital in Ann Arbor for Path’s surgery. We are so happy to announce her surgery will be held on 15 September. From there, Path will be transferred back to MFB for 2-3 weeks to continue working on making progress in PT, OT, and Speech.   To celebrate the victory in moving her surgery up, definitely stop by Barnstormers Pizza for some amazing pizza and garlic knots (which are Path’s favorite)❤️ We will keep everyone posted on any further announcements but thank you all for the continued love and support.
